rods0341
my buddy has was looking up performance packages on slp and he told me that slp did not take the governor on the test vehicle (04 avalanche) because slp says that if you remove the governor the yoke?(where the driveshaft meets the rearend) explodes and then the drivesfaft rattles like crazy... seems like fairytales anybody ever had problems? thanks in advance.... desrtrat
there has been a few cases of drive shaft failures on dyno runs. so yes i could see them keeping the speed down. having one come apart @ 120 mph on the dyno is not a good thing... Fireman31
AFAIK, the main issue is with the 1 piece alluminum drive shafts. Ask kelleyperformance, he had one come apart on a Tahoe that he as dynoing a few years ago, punctured the fuel tank and set the truck on fire if I recall....
