Tailgate Wing/Protector

I'm picking up a tonneau cover this weekend and was wondering how these wings/protectors are on the tailgate. Did they just 3M tape them on or they screwed on somehow?

If you are talking about the stock tailgate spoiler, they are taped on. I'm not sure if that is what you are asking though.

Yeah it is...thanks. Thought I read something about screws one timebut guess I was confused.

The ISS spoilers are bolted on, that's probably where you heard that. Once you get the stock spoiler off, there are holes for bolts on the outside of the tailgate.

By the way, if you have not attempted to take the stock spolier off, they are somewhat difficult to get off. Heat gun and fishing line might be helpful. I guess if you take the tailgate off and turn it upside down where you can spray adhesive removal along the bottom edges of the spoiler, that certainly might speed and ease the process.

Yeah I figured it won't be easy but I'll get it off somehow. Hopefully I won't screw it up to bad. I'm hoping since the rest of the bed is lined with Line-X I can get a Line-X cap sprayed on somehow. Just gotta figure out how to get around it with those holes.
