Has anyone ever used a radiator core mounted e-fan? I would like to use one on my 99 tahoe. I dont have $500 to drop on an e-fan kit. Just wanted y'alls opinion. Thanks fellas! zachm89 Posted July 8, 2010 Report Share Posted July 8, 2010 you mean a fan that is held on by those little rods that you stick through the fins of the radiator? if so, i had two 14" fans like that on my 03 z71 with a temp sensor hooked to a relay that was wired into my headlights. had to roll around with the headlights on all the time but the fans would kick on as soon as the truck hit the right temp. worked like a charm for over two years, never had a problem. id go for it if i were you, cant hurt to upgrade from the stock fan. g/l man!
