Neil 6.0
Just curious how loud it is inside & outside of the cab. Is there any drone while cruising around? I was thinking I might get the part number for the SS exhaust and put it on my current truck (1500HD with 6.0). I think it would be a good alternative to some of the other aftermarket catback systems that are out there, since it is made of good stainless steel and I really like the exhaust tip. I just hope the price isn't too crazy.
jwest1975
It does have quite a hum when driving around. Since I have never had anything like that, it kinda makes me want to get on it more than I already do and shouldn't be!!! As far as overall loudness....I wouldn't say it is the loudest thing on the market, but for being stock it is pretty respectable! If you haven't already done so, check out the teaser movie I shot! http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/index.ph...t=ST&f=14&t=588 The radio was off and windows were rolled up all the way. Look for some more video early next week!!! Justin
Neil 6.0
Thanks for the movie Justin. The dealer here just got a black SS in this morning, gonna have to go down and listen to it after they prep it. I was hopeing that GM had developed an exhaust that wouldn't resonate in the cab, since the 6.0's are famous for that. I don't care about having the loudest exhaust in the county, I just want something that sounds healthy.
dcairns
After driving my old S-10, the SS sounds quiet inside. Not as loud as jwest's video seemed to make it.
jwest1975
Not as loud as jwest's video seemed to make it. I am guessing that the cold weather here has a little to do with it too....but, I still think it is pretty sweet for being stock! Justin
