Mine look like maybe water or something got under the clear overlay. Anyone know of where to get replacement overlays or any suggestions? Cramer Posted August 19, 2010 Report Share Posted August 19, 2010 I had the same problem, and talked to Idahoblkss (Jon) about making some decals for it. Turned out great, but I wish I wouldn't have measured so close when I gave him the measurements. I went with a different script for the SS but I am sure he can do it for you in whatever color and script you want. He does awesome work. FireRescueSS Posted August 19, 2010 Report Share Posted August 19, 2010 I just had my buddy make some custom stickers to I placed over the old ones, look the same, just filled in the botwie with blue, with the SS cut out. busterz Posted August 22, 2010 Report Share Posted August 22, 2010 Yep, same problem. There is a thin plastic coating over the aluminium. Water gets between the two and tarnishes the aluminium. Sanding mine down to paint the whoie center cap black (just painted the wheels). Glad to see someone is making stickers, I wasnt sure what I was going to do in the middle.
