canadianVRss
I read a post a couple days ago about taking the grill out and painting it black (damn sexy btw). So I go outside and i take the 7 pop tabs off the shroud cover and remove it. So now I try to take just the grey grill out, but it REALLY doesn't want to let go of the red piece the bowtie sits in. So I'm like screw it I'll take it all out and see what's up. So I remove the whole thing and turn it around and I'm like, what the hell?! All the little tabs that come through the red piece the bowtie sits in and go into the grey grill are melted closed! I don't think this is from factory. I did by it used... Anyone else find this? Wish I could post pics with my IPhone.
ss wrecker
That's how they come from the factory. Both my grilles on my two trucks are that way.
canadianVRss
So do I just grind them off or just punch them out?
alex.t
no if you want to paint your grill you'll have to tape everything off except the grill then paint away

canadianVRss
Damnit thought this was going to be a no tape easy job. Well I better break out the masking tape.
