Bad Bowtie Posted September 29, 2010 Report Share Posted September 29, 2010 (edited) i got a custom tune recently and i'm averaging around 14 altogether. highway i get about 19-21 when i go downhill in neutral i get 99 mpg though HAHAHA!! I took a picture of that once in my truck. Needless to say, I got a few laughs out of some of my friends!! mando28 Posted October 1, 2010 Report Share Posted October 1, 2010 I got my 03 SSS about a month ago and it was giving me 10.8 mpg i did the oil change with royal purple oil and it's been going up little by little I'm at 11.2 mpg nowing truck is all stocked and I dont run cheep gas nutn but the best and ether chevron or shell any tips on getting it to 13.0 - 14.0 mpg??? That is about 500 miles per tank.My 5.3 RWD can't touch that. 19-21mpg on the highway with all my mods........the biggest thing you can do is get tuned to help with efficiency. There are also a few other maintenance items you can do to improve fuel mileage like proper tire pressure, spark plugs/wires, TB and MAF service, and a fuel system cleaner additive. I always laugh at the F350s stomping the pedal to the floor to drive past me on the highway " HAHA your getting 4mpg driving like that, NANNY NANNY BOO BOO STICK YOUR HEAD IN DOO DOO!"
