DBTKDT
Could a new tune make the drivers information center and gauges read different? Something isn't right?

BlueAKSSS
No the gauges aren't controlled by the tune and far as the DIC goes.
chpspecial
A tune can only affect your Tach, Speedo, and Fuel gauges, but it can not affect the DIC

detjoe
do an actual tank calculation, dont go by the DIC it can be off for MPG. I would do it for a couple of fill ups and get the average.

I would do it for a couple of fill ups and get the average. Thats a good thought. I did fill up and reset my trip to see what that would come out to. Hopefuly thats all it is. My wifes Denali has a 93 tune and she gets at least 15 around town and 19 on the highway at 75mph. I know the hd has the 4L80 and the 14 bolt rearend which will take a hit on the mpg. I'll keep you all posted. Thanks for everyones thoughts!
DBTKDT
Alright I went through a tank of gas and I got 238 miles on the tank and it cam out @ 9.9mpg! Ouch! That was city/highway! I would always get 13.5/14.5 mixed driving. Any thoughts?
detjoe
thoughts? your foot is heavy. you spend time going over 65mph. you really have to drive these trucks different for economy/milage. on the eway, if I dont mind going slow, at 65mph its 18mpg....quickly falling when you bring up the speed... LaGris
I got 395 miles on mine nothing but hwy miles though(topped off). It was more fuel efficient than my dads 2004 Z71he had to fill up before me.

What does everyone else get out of a tank? when i drove up to washington this march i got 410 a tank got 70. i was impressed with how the LQ9 did with the 14bolt rearend. but when i went to 80+ it went way down
Linzerella
Ya, you should probably talk to your tuner on that. It should not be worse like that!?!
