joeyg Posted November 8, 2010 Report Share Posted November 8, 2010 Yeah I stopped by and he had it torn apart. Pitting on the rollers of the carrier brngs and he said lots of metallics in the fluid. Lots getting done to that ass'y. Didn't want it to let go in the middle of winter which I'm sure that's exactly what would've happened. Also got the tranny filter done and DEX VI and the xfer case fluid changed too Hopefully I'll never know what I've avoided... Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
70chevy03ss Posted November 9, 2010 Report Share Posted November 9, 2010 My was just as bad. I was told by Ben AKA Gmperformanceguy the worst that he has ever seen. My truck had the burnt gear oil smell for a month, I stunk up his shop, the tan shop out front, and the showroom.. MY front diff was so bad that the only thing that he saved was the case.. I broke the internals so bad that the SPUN inside.. It sucks when it happens but I guess thats the price we pay to have an AWD truck!!
