rods0341
yesterday i installed a coil spring spacer on the front driver side of my 01 2wd silverado. during the installation my friend and i failed to put the jack on lower control arm to support it. hence, the control arm fell and extended the brake hose and wheel speed sensor "cable". i test drove and it works fine but the abs light came on. Any ideas on what maybe the issue? thanks in advance?
BlueAKSSS
Might have broke the abs wheel speed sensor when it fell or the wiring broke when it fell. That's all I can think of as to why the ABS light would come on after that.
m.bohn007
Im currently deployed to Afghanistan. Im the driver of a vehicle called an RG-31. When I first got the truck the ABS light stayed on in it, although myself and our mechanics couldnt find anything wrong with the system. So you know what I did? I took out the bulb behind the ABS indicator! Problem solved right? Haha I know it doesnt help your situation, and its not the best route to go, but it worked for me! Just sayin... simz28
sounds like a broken wire in the abs harness to me. There not really that strong, so its not to hard to break them Edited January 18, 2011 by simz28 (see edit history)
