T-Bag
I have 305/40/22's if you wanna see. I can tell you this though, Ive run the Eagle LS2s. Michelin LTX MS, Grabber UHPs, BFG's and the Nittos are by far my favorite, lookwise, ride comfort, grip, smooth and tread design. T-Bag
as requested width is up to you man, but I'd say go 305 unless your planning to do a low drop or are already dropped. Because they do very slightly stick out beyond the fender. You can kinda see in the 2nd pic, the rear check out this link too, so helpful http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html I was rollin on 4 spares for awhile too deciding on rims Edited December 14, 2010 by Bad aSS Silvy (see edit history)

Jordan836
I run the 285/50-20 nittos on stock rims I love them best tire ive ever bought. I was going to do the 305s but the sidewall bulges a little to much for my taste.

1BAD2K
i have them in a 305-40-22 and hate em. i wanted them really bad at first but discount tire can never balance them right on my perfectly round forged wheels, they spin through first and half of second gear on my near stock truck, but I guess in a 22" size you dont have many options. Quinnster
Nittos that were on my old truck. I had 20" wheels with 285 width and 55 height which was a mistake for a 1999-2002 Silverado due to the front wheel well clearance that doesn't accommodate for anything more than a 31-32" tire max! I had bad fender rubbing problems before I switched to 45 height which I believe was 30" and then everything was great! shawnss
I really like my 420s. ive had no issues with them. but i went with 305/35/24s. before i had BFG KDW g forces. i didn't care for them i paid $575 a tire and they wore like crap. they also broke a band and made a big bubble in the side wall.
