Ok so the upholstery shop I'm tight with is slow and when I popped in this week we talked about redoing my seats....

I need to move quick because once spring comes he'll be swamped and people wait wait WAIT for their stuff....

So our plan is to order material Monday 2/14 and I'm giving him the truck next Thursday - Monday while I'm out of town.

He's has done 3 different projects for me and is a master at his trade but zero help with figuring out a color combo.

I guess he never gives his opinion because then if you don't like it it's all on you not him.

I can't stand the cheap GM "leather" and how it's getting all cracked looking. In the past I've had a high end volvo and audi and when you open the door and get in you know it's a leather interior right away from the smell. This truck nver smells like that...

He is also going to cover the door inserts above the armrest to match either bolster or center.

It's an Intimidator with the Earnhardt headrests that have red and light grey stiching - so I'm leaning towards pulling off a match to those somehow.

BOLSTERS: redo them in the original Dark Graphite? color but use better quality leather

Black quality leather

Black carbon fiber look leather

CENTERS: Red Suede -

Light grey Suede

Shiny Metallic Leather

Funky looking Black Ostrich leather he has leftover from a previous job - actually looks sorta pimp

Also have option of red or ________ stiching where the new leather meets the OEM vinyl seat bottoms

Also he can top stich diamonds into the suede in contrasting thread.

Too many choices

Please post up pics if you've changed your seats and feel free to offer input -

TX Blue I hear you ~ light grey looks too light but a medium grey might work.

He gave me a chain full of samples and a book full of pages to play with over the weekend.

I see a couple black/red votes so far...... sorta on the fence with that. Leaning more towards sticking with introducing red as a stitch color not panels.

Black suede centers with red diamond panels top stitched might be the ticket.

The optional Ostrich Black Leather Centers will haunt me forever -

Could he cut out the logo and sew it into the new upholstry? Might widen your options.

I plan to leave the dale logo on the headrest but like the idea of an SS logo on the top back of seat, just don't know how to do it.

He can't embroider it so I would have to have it done into the leather elsewhere.

even better - he sends out the headrests and the logo gets copied into new headrests. I'm changing up the colors of stitching to a better combo too...

this mini project has snowballed....
