Ruben525
Ok guys let me start off by thanking everyone who has answered all my questions about there lowering kit I asked alot of questions and everyone was very helpful. Im gonna be ordering a DJM Calmax kit with shocks from Norcal SS as soon a I decide on witch drop to go with. Im calling on my fellow members for help on witch kit to go with. Im stuck between a 3/4 ( http://djmfactorystore.com/shop/article_DJM2599-3%252F4/Complete-DJM-Kit.html?shop_param=cid%3D305%26aid%3DDJM2599-3%252F4%26 ) and a 3/5 ( http://djmfactorystore.com/shop/article_DJM2599-3%252F5/Complete-DJM-Kit.html?shop_param=cid%3D305%26aid%3DDJM2599-3%252F5%26 ) These are just the links to the kits I will be ordering my kit from Norcal SS. I want my truck to sit level so I might have to mess with the front end a little to get it right where I want it. I wanna run 285/45/20's on my stock SS wheels and later on run some 285/idk yet/22 on SS 22's. I really dont like a gap between the tires and the truck but I dont wanna go any lower then ether of these kits. My first choice was 3/5 but then I started thinking about if I really wanted to notch the frame. Then I started to notice alot of guys going 3/4 and telling me there truck sits level. What im worried about is not being happy with how my truck sits and then regretting the kit I get. I kinda wanna get the 3/5 but I kinda dont wanna notch the truck but some guys are telling me with a 3/4 there trucks are bottoming out. What I getting to is if Im gonna have to notch the truck then I might as well go 3/5. I never thought choosing a drop would be this hard
shawnss
Well i know with my 3/4 i dont have bottoming out issues. i still have factory bump stops also. i just removed the top bracket that hold the bump stop to the frame. then i mounted the factory bump stops to the frame of the truck. it gave me another inch and a half to play with. will you ever be hauling loads with the truck? i personally never haul with my truck. most cause i have to truck so i dont need to use the SS to haul . id say if you plan on hauling to go with a C notch. cause i know if i were to load down my truck with weight it would most likely bottom out. OUT2WIN
Are you dead set on the 285/45/20? If you are thinking of going 3/5, you should c-notch it. If you c-notch it, might as well go atleast 4/6. But if you are set on the 285/45/20, then a 2/4 is what you should do. Every truck I've owned I start with a 2/4 and 3 have ended up at 4/6 or lower. Your clone looked really good and had a perfect stance. I'm on my mobile phone so I can't see the links that you posted but what components are in the 2 kits you posted? ThatTallCanadian
The 3/4 is completely bolt on is it not? I would go for that purely because of the ease of install. It's what I'm buying in the summer.

No I only use my truck for cruising I hardly ever loading anything in the back.

The 3/4 is just the a arms hangers and shackels the 3/5 is the a arms flip kit and 1 inch lift shackels

The 3/4 is just the a arms hangers and shackels the 3/5 is the a arms flip kit and 1 inch lift shackels Well from my experience, the flip kit is the best riding kit I've had in the rear of any of my trucks. I really liked my SS when I had it at 2/4. I put the Belltech leafs in the back and didn't have a single vibration at all. Driveline angles were like stock. Everything else has always had a slight vibration at take off and needs shims to fix it. Hangers are a bitch to install, I would do leafs before shackle/hanger if I were u. Sorry for going a little off from the kits you already wanted.

JAKd-UP
Only thing I can say is if you think you may wanna go lower in the future....go ahead and do it now. I put a 4/6 on my SS and only problems I have is I have .5 rake. But I'm hoping to order some drop arms soon to fix that.

silverado777
I have a 2/4 drop on mine. I did 2'' pro coils in front, hangers and shackles in back. If I could do it all over again I would I would go with A arms in the front. I do need to do a c-notch though. I currently run 285/50/20 Hope this helps.
