1skss Posted February 23, 2011 Report Share Posted February 23, 2011 I washed my engine,degreased then press washed it..after that I drove truck home and no problems. Then about 2-3hrs of detailed cleaning through out engine I fired her up and my intake makes a louder noise,it really seems to be comin frm throttle body. sprayed99 Posted April 28, 2011 Report Share Posted April 28, 2011 (edited) my suggestion..... post these type of things in the right sub forum. other suggestion never pressure wash your engine bay there are several issues that can come from it. This is one. Another would be the water leaking under the manifold and into the knock sensor holes. In fact GM has a TSB out for the knock sensor problem after washing the engine bay. You are better off with a pile of rags and simple green and a lot of elbow grease.
