Back in high school about 6 years ago I got one and it was 350. WTF that's bull shit too much for a music ticket and what sucks is I gotta pay my 350 dollar speeding ticket next week. Eddie
When i lived in Illinois I got a "C"ticket for "unlawful use of an amplified system". Not really sure what would be a lawful use. But the ticket was only $25. The Chicago police were worse. They would just stab a hole in your speakers with a screwdriver to save themselves the paper work. eeekroar
It is also on the back of cop cars in my area, along with buckle up or pay up! I use to deliver pizza years ago and received a No seat belt ticket pulling out of neighborhood and the police office made me think I was in a world of shit! Come to find out it was only $25 dollars. superredss
I'm not bashing but this is just a thought....if you didn't play your music so loud that someone else could hear it inside their vehicle you guys might not have the problem of getting cited for it. Seriously, just the other day I was traveling down a two lane highway when some guy in an expedition thought it was okay to try and rattle my windows loose while we were traveling 50 mph!! If I could have stripped his 22's off at the next stop light and beat him with them I would have. It's not that I didn't like his music, I just didn't want to hear it over mine. I don't know how loud you guys music was, but it doesn't matter if you have a bone stock stereo or one with two 10's and enough amps to run my home, too loud is too loud. If you really think that you were not in the wrong, well then read up on the code section and take it to court. If you find out that by law you were in the wrong, well learn from it and accept the consequences. And the same goes for window tint and seatbelts. I have worked wrecks where someone backed into another vehicle because they couldn't see cause of their 10% window tint! And the next time you get into a head-on crash and you DIDN'T go through the front windshield because you were wearing your seatbelt because I just gave you a ticket, you might just thank me. Bottom line, they're all distractions and safety issues. If you have a problem with the law, then take it to court or speak to someone that can change it. But please don't harass the cops who uphold them. Unless they are dicks and then I can see your point! No one likes a dick cop!! ......end rant, now you guys can feel free to trash me. catdaddy300
i here you but i hate noise laws like for motorcycles and stereos, now i hate people who sit in parking lots and play loud music and i turn down my radio at stop lights and even turn my bike off for other people, but still it gets a little one sided when it comes to laws like that. so you just have to pay the ticket if the cop was a douche bag or not
