easewald
I have a 03 ss pretty well stock besides k&n cold air had it tuned at a shop in town called pbj and catback exhaust. I was thinkin about tryin to get a little more out of it but still keeping it mild, it is a daily driver for now. Before the intake and tune I ran a 14.8 three times in a row, my last run was 14.3. Like I said I wanted to keep it in tact but see if I cant get it to run a little better Any ideas or suggestion will be appreciated

easewald
Yeah I was thinkin about headers, what are some good brands to look into for shift kits wonder which vette servo's are applicable. I was also thinkin about electric fans and a 160 thermostat?
SuperStock
Yeah I was thinkin about headers, what are some good brands to look into for shift kits wonder which vette servo's are applicable. I was also thinkin about electric fans and a 160 thermostat? Headers there are alot of options it just depends on how much you want to spend, but the brands that alot of people use on here are like Dynatech,OBX,Pacesetter.......ect. I just put electric fans on my truck, I did not notice any power difference but maybe a 1.5mpg increase. The electric fan's will cost around $500-600. I bought my e-fans at the junk yard theycame off an 05 silverado and I paied $250 plus you need to get a 145amp alternator, a longer belt, a wiring harness harness, and your pcm re-tuned. But they look good and make it easier to work on the truck and put less drak on the motor. I'm just not sure if it is actually worth all the hassle. easewald
yeah thats kinda what I have been hearing about the e-fans and thermostat. I can tell almost night and day difference in it just from getting tuned and air filter. Whats a mild cam that wont mess with the stock valve train too bad? detjoe
your stall is going to limit you in the short time. Best I got out of a stock converter was 14.2 that was with a cam only...
