knuckle_buster
Alright so here is my idea... I already have a AEM CAI and a pair of flowmasters. I'm thinking about installing a set of long tubes, no cats, X pipe, and get a wheatly tune. I figure that will be great for power but how bad will my mpg suffer? I'm trying to weigh power/mpg gains and losses out before I get over my head. Any input is appreciated, I didn't find what I was looking for with search. The_aSSet
LT's improved my gas mileage 1-2 mpg, your helping your truck breath better, i think of it like exercising. could you exercise longer breathing through your just your nose, or breathing through your nose and mouth? knuckle_buster
Awesome. I've been thinking about it for awhile. Just didn't want to drop a bunch of cash on it if it was going to kill me at the pump and give me idle/drivability issues. This will be my first modding project with a computer controlled vehicle. knuckle_buster
Not sure yet. I'm still reading up on the headers posts here. I'm not really interested in dropping 2 grand in a set of tubes but I don't want major issues right now or down the line either. Actually looked at some OBX's and Pacesetters. Also looked into a few high end sets as well. At least narrowed it down to coated and not stainless or painted.
sierra ss
If you really want to help mpg and hp ditch the flowmasters for a flowmonster or magnaflow muffler. Trust me. .
