woody05 Posted March 17, 2011 Report Share Posted March 17, 2011 Ok so i just had my transmission rebuilt i installed it today only problem is i only have 2nd and 3rd gear. it shifts fine from 2nd to 3rd just no 1st to 2nd or 3rd to 4th i tried manually shifting it but nothing:confused: please help any input would be very helpful Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

woody05 Posted March 17, 2011 Author Report Share Posted March 17, 2011 ok when i floor it it also doesnt kick to the passing gear and this morning i drove it to work when i left my house first worked shifted to second then 3rd but no 4th now when heading to lunch it did the same thing but once it shifts out of first and then i slow down to a stop it doesnt shift back down to 1st but it didnt do that this morning either it just sucks having to pull the tranny out a day after i installed it Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
misterp Posted March 17, 2011 Report Share Posted March 17, 2011 Don't pull it out yet - the problem can be incorrectly installed servos, or an issue in the valve body and these can be fixed with the truck on a lift. Also, the transmission builder will want to drive the truck to pinpoint exactly where the problem is. Call them and schedule an appointment for warranty work. Mr. P.
