canadianVRss
http://www.converter.cc/converters/truck/index.html I'm looking at the second one down, 3000K stall $525. Any one run yank, and what are your opinions on that specific converter?

04CHASE
Circle D FTW! im on nobody's payroll but i plan to give them a shot , they dared me to try and break one , also encourage a wot lockup behind 1200 lb tq in a 6k sled. i know there are some out there taking 1300 rwhp with locking it wot but my weight is what scares me. ive run every converter there is and have broken every converter there is , lets see what circle d can do . i have driven it a whole 30 feet , but brake stalled to exact what i asked for and the 30 feet i did drive it , you would have though you were driving a stock SS. price also has a big deceiding factor not everyone spends 1k on a dam torque converter. nor do they need too. my only point is dont lock them at any rate with anything making decent power(500+whp)
Fireman31
Stay away from the TT series converter, there are several members here who have lost transmissions over the years because of them.......
thomp62301
I have the PT3200. I'm very happy with it. if you want to go Yank, spend the extra money and upgrade to the Pro Truck series.

misterp
My position on Yank converters is very Bearish - do not buy, including their top-of-the line billet converter which to be honest *did* hold together, but was a performance dog (it stalled exactly where we requested, but switching to a TCS the truck was an entire half-second faster in the 1/4-mile); every Yank we installed between 2004-2006 failed inside a couple years and took most of the 4L60's with them, you're better-off using a stock TBSS converter for $150 than buying the Yank product. We recommend and sell TCS converters, because they have a very good product for a very good price - IMO better than Precision, for not a whole lot more than a Yank. Definitely best bang for the buck, and we have a very good/positive and established business relationship with them. We do not have any first-hand experience with Circle-D converters, but agree that all second-hand information we've gathered from customers and industry is that Circle-D's stuff works, and it works well. We HAVE done business with Circle-D (custom transmission parts) and had a very poor/hostile business experience with that company, so policy-wise we're put-off with Circle-D, that is a reflection of their company policies and not their products so YMMV there. Mr. P. ...ive run every converter there is and have broken every converter there is , lets see what circle d can do .... I'm kinda surprised you didn't go with something like a Coan unit - I'm with you, I can't wait to see how the Circle-D holds up to some *real* use ;) Mr. P. Edited March 24, 2011 by Mr. P. NORCAL SS
Ive isntalled about 25 yanks in customers sss never had 1 issue. The new yank ptb series converter dropped one guy 3 tenths over his vig 3200. with the ynak ptb3600 (very streetable) i see a 5-7 tenths drop at the track on customers trucks. Ive had one on my tbss (5100 pounds race weight) and i street race every weekend almost and taken the truck to the track runs mid 11s on a 100 shot and no issues at all. canadianVRss
Hmm I think I'm going to go with circle D on this one. When a company tells you to "try and break it" you know they're generally offering a good product and at a good price.
stroked out
I have a circle-D converter in my truck and it works great. Drives around town perfect and i haven't had a problem yet. I'm not making near the power chase is but it runs awesome behind my powerplant. Pm me if you have any questions about it OP
