crf250rider Posted March 29, 2011 Report Share Posted March 29, 2011 Ive had this problem for a while but havent had time to really address it. When I am driving, my truck will constantly sway around in the lane and shake a little bit. It doesn't just want to drive straight for some reason. This happens all the time, not when just braking. I need new rotors and pads anyways so I just ordered some, although I am doubtful this is the problem since its been going on for a while now. I have had the alignment checked and its still fine also. I do have a bent driver rear rim so Im not sure if that could have anything to do with it. I am pretty sure I did that a while back before this problem started happening though. The only thing I can think of that is wrong is something in the front suspension (maybe pitman/idler arm?). At night it makes me look like I have had a few drinks and I'm tired of getting pulled over because cops think im drunk lol. What do you guys think could be wrong? If theyre different it can cause this. I ended up changing, Shocks, tie rod ends, upper ball joints, swar bar links, and then got an alignment. It fixed the problem... Not sure exactly what did, but its gone. Ya i forgot to mention that ive checked the tread (wearing evenly) and air pressure. Was all that stuff hard to install? 70chevy03ss Posted March 30, 2011 Report Share Posted March 30, 2011 I am running 305 50 20's on my truck and I have noticed that my truck does the wondering thing. I just had my wheels rotated tonight and I noticed a big difference. At the same time all of my front end parts were replaced right before winter. Except for the ball joints. So I would recomemend that you grease everything up and rotate the tires. If that doesn't work then something is going on..
