SSStreetracer04
Which trucks faster the chevy SS or gmc vho? also, what size are the stock engines in a 2004 chevy SS, i know theyre 6.0L v8's but is the engine size a 364 or a 394 cause ive heard both. and also does the VHO use the same engine as the SS or what? diggerdan11
The 6.0 is 366 cubic inches and yes the ss and vho have the same engine. Its a big debate which is faster, I don think there is much of a difference. I have an ss so I have to say the ss is faster.
bruiser04
dan is right 366 cid and they r the same motor but i would think the power to weight ratio is better for a vho than an awd sss as awd parts add weight, BUT an ss would prob win cause its awd i guess if u got a good hook with the vho it could beat an sss
Fireman31
The LQ9 is 364 c.i.d...............
T-Bag
You'd have to have an 05.5, 06 or early 07 2wd SS and a VHslOw with same mods go up against each other to see. A VHO is an SS without the cladding, bumpers, cluster and rims. So theoredically it weighs a tad less. 90zxdriver
61 is the magic number here. I learned this years ago in shop class. 1.0 Litre = (roughly) 61 C.U. 6.0X61=366 366/61=6.0 Try it with other motors too 5.7X61=350 350/61=5.7 7.4x61=454 454/61=7.4 and so on...
