idahoBLKss
well got tired of the old intake set up it was just too big and got in my way when ever i needed to work on some thing so i decided to cut it down and mount it in a new location..... you can kinda see how it looked b4 , it ran all the way over to the stock air box location, just cluttered the engine bay ... now what it looks like ... i also been working on coupler LESS intercooler set up for a very long time gathering peices here and there and this is what i cam up with . using 2 silicon couplers only ( at the head unit, and at the throttle body) everything is in its stock position, nothing was relocated . although you had to cut the headlight bezel up pretty good to route the tubing through it. the mock up... after the welding ,raw right after it got welded hasn't been cleaned up or polished yet ... yes ALUMINIUM v clamps welded into place... the intercooler is a 4" core and all of the tubing is 3" if that tells you how thick that thing is. a lil up close action of the weld job , i love to show these off... i have a couple more trix im working on but thats all im going to show you for now. the piping wont be installed till i get a s/d tune if you were wondering where the maf was going to go. rudy91040
Your setup looks really clean man. Welds are really nice too. One suggestion though on where you make your alignment marks with the sharpie. Tack your pieces together and then clean the sharpie lines off. AC TIG doesn't like the sharpie that is why you get the few darker spots. I can also tell you from experience that AC TIG really doesn't like Dykem. It gets all kinds of ugly with that stuff
