highvoltamps
I have to install a clutched pulley for my dual alternator setup because it squeels at a high rpm shift. The shaft is a torks the has to be held stationary while the nut is removed. Thanks for any help.

highvoltamps
Just hit it with an air impact and the nut comes right off. Its simple. What's going to hold the shaft? Don't want to damage the alternator.. Edited June 4, 2011 by highvoltamps (see edit history)
Badkarma
What's going to hold the shaft? Don't want to damage the alternator.. just an air hammer. it will take the nut right off. been there done that. dont worry about that shaft. it may move a smidge but not enough to keep the air tool from doing its job. Quick and painless.
