okay so after about $1500 bucks fixing other problems the AC decides to die...

this was the first attempt to use it since last summer

compressor will not turn on with AC on climate control turned on

fuse is good

checked but replaced relay anyway

4.8volts at the sensor on the dryer when unplugged

0 volts at the compressor

any ideas????

If you jumper the pressure switch, and the compressor kicks in, then you know your charge is low, or your pressure switch is bad. Either way you need a ac shop.

If it doesn't turn on the comressor, then you have a wiring issue. Check for power at the ac clutch.

What kind of work was done?

I jumped the wire and the compressor will still not turn on....FML

other work:

Rebuilt my trans (performabuilt level 2)

rebuilt converter

other smaller issues

this was the first time attempting to use A/C since August or Sept of 2010

So you jumpered the two wires at the accumulator? Did you check for power at the ac clutch? Did you check ALL of your fuses?

At the accumulator I got 4.? Volts. At the compressor I got nothing but not when I jumped the terminal. Thanks for the help will have too try again and post again. Also I thought I checked all the fuses and relays but going to have to double check now lol
