67speeda Posted June 9, 2011 Report Share Posted June 9, 2011 okay so after about $1500 bucks fixing other problems the AC decides to die... this was the first attempt to use it since last summer compressor will not turn on with AC on climate control turned on fuse is good checked but replaced relay anyway 4.8volts at the sensor on the dryer when unplugged 0 volts at the compressor any ideas???? paulguy Posted June 9, 2011 Report Share Posted June 9, 2011 If you jumper the pressure switch, and the compressor kicks in, then you know your charge is low, or your pressure switch is bad. Either way you need a ac shop. If it doesn't turn on the comressor, then you have a wiring issue. Check for power at the ac clutch. What kind of work was done? At the accumulator I got 4.? Volts. At the compressor I got nothing but not when I jumped the terminal. Thanks for the help will have too try again and post again. A condenser install where i worked is over a $500 bill. well we did it in my driveway in about 15 minutes. went to my buddies shop the next day for the recharge.... Now my check engine light is on....I CAN NEVER WIN !!!! lol (its an EVAP leak. kept saying tighten fuel cap.
