Heat Shielding

Recommended Posts

Installing Dynatech headers on my 05 SSS later this week. Aside from coating the headers themselves, what other options do I have so I don't bake everything in the engine compartment?

I used heat wrap on mine. Make sure you use plenty of the metal zip ties or it will have come unloose. The tops have held up pretty good so far. Can't say the same for the bottoms though.

Unwrap yours and redo them. Wrapping them right takes a lot of work, but you'll never have to mess with them again or have unsightly zip ties on your headers.

That involves pulling the headers off. I installed those once an never want to do it again lol. Maybe i'll tackle that when I do my engine swap. If I ever get off my butt and build it that is.
