Miller812 Posted June 25, 2011 Report Share Posted June 25, 2011 a guy i know is having problems with his gmc 1500 ( 04 i think) anyways he gets into his truck some mornings and his display says to service 4wd and none of his lights are on were it has 2wd, 4hi, 4lo, and auto. the lights arent on there and then for the next couple weeks its fine then it does it again. just wondering what it could be.any help from all you smart guys would be awesome. thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

My Tahoe did something similar last winter when I accidently left it in Auto 4WD, but it only took 1 key cycle for everything to return to normal, and the T-case mysteriously shifted itself back to 2HI.......whenever I need 4WD now, I just shift it into 4HI or 4LOW and totally disregard the AUTO 4WD button.....
