<br />I was there in April and stayed here <a href='http://www.palazzo.com/Las-Vegas-Packages/Q2-SEM/?gclid=CIiR_p290akCFcJo4Aod2Q0pPg.' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow'>http://www.palazzo.c...FcJo4Aod2Q0pPg.</a> Where will you be staying? I felt pretty save walking around the strip.<br />

Harrahs is where will be staying. I'm mostly concerned about the parking since I never leave the SS anywhere parked over night except my garage.

depending on where your coming from.. i live just east of Barstow, and i average about 1/2 tank down there, and less than a 1/2 tank back home. i can avg. 15-17 mpg @ 70 but the biggest killer is north bound I-15 at the Baker grade..11-12  going south back home the killer is Mountain Pass, after that it's all down hill..

We just got back tonight, found the best bet for us (in a rental Malibu, btw) was to self park at the hotel/casino decks and walk. Also, certain resorts have shuttels between, such as Pirates Island to The Mirage, as we took that after watching the evening show of Sirens of TI, then onto the Volcano Eruption at The Mirage. We stayed at Palace Station, all was well. Found that Freemont was a little sketchy at night, but on the main drag, things were mostly OK. Key points to note is they drive like complete idiots there ( like any larger town or heavy traffic situation) and know they will have no regard for your truck, so be defensive. Toyota driving fags...

From riverside you should be using just over a half tank of gas... I go in my truck from Hemet to Las Vegas and only use 3/4 tank of gas. Mind you that my truck is not very fuel efficient. On the Freeway I best high 13 low 14mpg and thats driving at 80MPH the entire time. On a stock truck with no power adders I expect a little better. I also use the throttle conservatively and try to maintain close to 80mhp, traffic pending, even up the passes.

Did you catch any of the shows? We saw Blue-Man Group @ the Venetian, Mystere Cirque Du Soleil @ Treasure Island, and must say they were WELL worth the $$$$$$$.

Actually, we didn't... Wife wanted to see several, including BMG and several of the Cirques but wouldn't bite on the price tag. She craigslisted several WTB tix, but too little, too late. We only spent 4 days in Vegas of the week long excursion, rode down to Tucson, then stayed the night in Tombstone, then Bisbee, and even Douglas AZ (she wanted to see Mexico, so I said hey, watch 'dis...) Back onto Vegas, we did hit up nearly every casino, caught the Moving Statues at Caesars, got the photo op at The Stratosphere courtesy of one shocktop and a free ride to top of the world from Level 107... ;) I'll remember more as I get back to normal. :)

  • 2 weeks later...

I Go and come from east LA every 2 months I get 13.2 miles on high way it cost me a little more than 3/4 of a tank and gas is cheaper here but due to the air cuality here in Vegas u get less mpg

It will cost u the same if u rent a car or if u bring your SSS I have done both

As for the crime rate always park valet it's free in every casino and u will be fine

I never trust leaving mine in the regular parking

If u go to clubs off the strip tip the security and they let u park right at the door and they take care of it for you
