Well I found a 2003 Silverado SS but wanted to know if it was a good deal...

It's listed for 12,995. It has 130000 miles. Here are the options: 4-Speed A/T,4-Wheel ABS,4-Wheel Disc Brakes,8 Cylinder Engine,A/C,A/T,Adjustable Steering Wheel,Alarm,All Wheel Drive,Aluminum Wheels,AM/FM Stereo,Auxiliary Power Outlet,CD Player,Climate Control,Cruise Control,Daytime Running Lights,Driver Air Bag,Dual Zone A/C,Front Reading Lamps,Gasoline Fuel,High Output,Intermittent Wipers,Keyless Entry,Leather Seats,Passenger Air Bag,Passenger Air Bag On/Off Switch,Power Door Locks,Power Driver Mirror,Power Steering,Running Boards,Transmission Overdrive Switch,Vehicle Anti-Theft System.

There are some problems though... on the drivers side door the paint is chipping off the buttons, no big deal. Also the bumper looks a little off to me.:dunno:

Thanks in advance!

what you just listed, every SS comes with except running boards and 4 corner rotor brakes, except the rwd ones that come with drum brakes in the rear. Leather is in the majority of these trucks even though they tried to cut costs after 04.

Im sure you could find another SS with the same price and no paint damage. You have any pictures of the paint or bumper? How does it look off? Good luck and happy hunting

I see now. I thought u meant the whole bumper. The duct can easily be moved back into position, just be carefull not to break the connection. Good thing its the passenger side also, trying to find a driver side one is hard.

Check out the service records, did he do all maintenance at 100k miles? If he didnt you should do all fluids. When I was at 51k I did all fluids (synthetic dealer fluid) and it came out to around $750.

These trucks do a good job holding their value. Now is indeed the best time to grab one. I would base the price on maintenance and where it was stored, how much rust is on the vehicle. One secret of mine is look under the drivers seat. If their is nothing underneath their, its been taking care of. if you find little things like a french fry or change I would be a bit cautious and inspect the truck even more. Trying to get a vaccum underneath the seat is tough.

Their are one or two trucks on here that are past 250k miles. And supposedly one that has over 300k miles on it, their is a video on youtube but they dont show the odometer.....

I would try to talk him down, but if the truck was garaged and maintenance was very strict, its not a bad price imo. Im at 64k on mine, garaged and never sees rain, salt or sand. Oil changes every month or 1500 miles, whichever came first. I wouldnt let it go for anything less than 20grand. Ive only taken it over 3000rpms less than a couple times i could count on one hand. It is babied.

The things you should check out are the transmission and the front differential. Those are the weak points, some have had issues with them stock, others havent had a problem. Pick of the draw I guess.

Hey man, I know that truck. Its right over in watauga at that dealer on the corner of western center and denton hwy. Those guys have some questionable vehicles. They had an arrival blue one a while back that I stopped in just to check out and I wouldn't have recommended it to anyone. I've seen this one driving by but never gone it to look at it.
