Corsa Question

How important is it for the drain"weep" hole to be facing down. I had mine installed an just realized they installed the muffler upside down. I gave the instructions to the guys at the shop, and when they were done they said "do you want your paper work back?" I said" the instructions?" He said yeah, whatever that stuff was. So they obviously did not read them at all. Is it no big deal, or something serious?

Damn man that blows. I know mine drains a decent bit of water from checking it time to time bc I keep mine polished up. I would def want the weep hole on the lower side. I have a touring though. I know it is "muffler" all the way through where as the sport is solid halfway through and which probably wouldn't get as much condensation in it as my touing..... which do you have?

I took it back up there. They DID NOT want to fix it at all. I said "I have a 90 day warranty for the work you did." He then says, "he will just drill a hole in the side of it to help it drain." I told him he was not drilling into my expensive muffler. He said "its better to have it there." I again said "NO. It will void my warranty, it says it right here, next to MAKE SURE THE WEEP HOLE IS ON BOTTOM." After 5-10 minutes he gave in, and said "he would flip it over." Twenty minutes later he comes back, and ask for the instructions.

30 minutes later, he comes back and says," the exhaust only fits together one way." I told him I knew. He then says, "well the way it fits, the weep hole is in the front of the muffler." I said,"OKKKKKKAAAAYYYY." He then says," yeah so you obviously got ripped off, because it is suppose to be in the back." I told him I thought it should be up front, since the truck does sit higher in the back. He then said, "okay, if tha'ts what you want, but they drilled the hole wrong anyways."

I'm thinking, you certainly seem "smart" today, but you did install it upside down the first time, so you obviously don't know sh*t..

First off, why did you have the system welded? The kit comes with all the clamps and hangers to bolt right in. And if you ever have to remove the exhaust for any reason you dont have to worry about cutting up the piping and having it rewelded. Such as this scenario

I did not tell them to weld it. I told them it was just a bolt on. I handed them the instructions, that state the same. I did not find out it was welded, until it was done. I went to Meinke muffler, so I thought they would know a little about exhaust.

Edit: I can't spell for sh*t

shit man, id go back up there and tell them they owe you for a new kit since they technically screwed yours up pretty good from the get go. im not sure what Corsa's policy is on welding their kits up but i doubt it you ever have a problem with anything that they will warranty it due to the fact the kit was not installed per their instructions. sounds to me like the guys at your local muffler shop are complete idiots. you could have put the exhaust on in your driveway with very basic hand tools in under an hour.
