LilEz02 Posted October 4, 2011 Report Share Posted October 4, 2011 (edited) so i been with the same company for almost 9 years now and we used to be a Chevy dealership. just a few years ago GM pulled our franchise and closed our store. we bought another chevy dealer and moved mostly all employees there. we ended up buying a Mazda franchise and moving it into the old building. (suprisinglly they are not bad little cars) so ive been with them a few years now. when we had to clean out the old store that was GM for 20 plus years i found this box covered in oil and grime in the back of the parts deparment. it looks pretty neat so i held on to it and cleaned it up a little. well i cant find any info on this thing anywhere on-line or nothing. not even googling there address. they are cards numbered and have what appeares to be every american car from 1965 through 1978. they have all factory specs on them like timing, measurments and just a ton of info. i am posting some pics but i will get better ones later. just would like to know if anyone has seen these before or could tell me a lil more about them. just getting curious and keep seeing it in the garage. im sure they gotta be worth some decent money to the right person. kinda cool how almost everyone is there, i only counted a few missing but didt look to hard. could be in a differnt spot. any info will be greatlly appriciated guys thanks in advanced. sorry pics are so small. trying to make bigger ones show up Edited October 4, 2011 by LilEz02 (see edit history) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

desrtrat Posted October 4, 2011 Report Share Posted October 4, 2011 they look like quick reference cards for a Sun engine diagnostics machine. the cards were like cheat sheets. ounce you had the car/truck hooked up, you pulled the card for that make/model and it had all the specs you needed for just about any repair.. every year Sun would have updated cards for you..this is OLD SCHOOL repair.. using a timing light, dwell meter, vacuum gauge, and a Osceola scope for tune ups. if you know what your doing you can get it spot on and tell what plug is a couple thousands out of gap, and what cylinders are low on compression they were great machines..this is the type of equipment i learned on back in the late 60's..
