Today at a dead stop I hit the gas and my truck crawled for about 2 seconds then jerked then when through the gears normally. I went to a parking lot and did a few stop and goes and the transmission acted fine. The fluid is fine and the truck is not abused. Is this a converter problem? Btw its a 4l60...thanks guys! 2001silverado364 Posted October 8, 2011 Report Share Posted October 8, 2011 (edited) Mine did that really badly when I didn't put enough fluid back in it after I changed the fluid and filter. Two more quarts of fluid and it quit. Of course having it overfilled is just as bad. I'd start by making sure the fluid level is EXACTLY where it's supposed to be.
