extremeSS
Can anyone tell me the rocker size on the 6.0 max engine and if it.is possible to.upgrade those to something larger?
2001silverado364
You mean the rocker ratio(1.7)? You can upgrade them to ls7 rockers if you want, which are 1.8.
gmJake
You mean the rocker ratio(1.7)? You can upgrade them to ls7 rockers if you want, which are 1.8. I looked this up with no definitive answer. Some said ls7 rockers had different intake/exhaust ratios. Looking at Summit and other sites, the cost of rocker arms are more than just getting a complete cam kit.
2001silverado364
I agree, it's not worth it, do it right and cam it, IMO.
gmJake
What if the rockers were free?
TYLERTXSS
Yeah even a set of 1.7 rockers will run you 450-500+. Jake if you know where to get them free, let me know!

Was looking for.a little extra power and headers are not far off. If go.the route of a cam kit, whats my best option and would I have to do a real tune to make it all work? 2001silverado364
Yeah, you need to cam it. You can get more than enough lift for stock heads with a cam and stock rockers. Just be careful doing both rockers and a cam, make sure your valve springs can handle that kind of lift. Also ptv clearances with high ratio rockers. The_aSSet
Ditch the programmer, get a custom pcm tune
