mybowtiess
Im lookin to change my exhaust cuz i lost power off the line changin it to 2 1/2in true dual straight pipe. I was wondering if do 3in straight pipe with and x pipe would get my power back?
alex.t
you need to through in some type of muffler just to get that little bit of back pressure back. 2 and a half inch piping is plenty for most setups. try and get a hold of a couple magnaflow race mufflers or borla xr1s theyll prob help you get that low end back and are straight threw mufflers. alex.t
it should matter to much the sound will of course be a little diff. but either way will sound good and should perform just fine.

dwalk
The same exact thing happened to me but I put a 3' catback true duel straight pipe with an X pipe... So no don't do that. Keep the 2 1/2 and look up some single or double panel mufflers. That should get you the little bit of back pressure you will need. I think magnaflow has a 10 series that are single panel.
