cmoney23
Hey guys. When pulling out of my driveway today to go order my new rims:rolleyes: I heard a noise when pushing on the brake shifting into reverse. So here is a video of the noise. This is sitting in my driveway on a slant( not sure it that matters ). Im shifting from park to reverse. Thats the only time it makes the noise. Give me some feedback please! http://s1207.photobucket.com/albums/bb474/cash2323/?action=view¤t=SANY0014.mp4
QuixSilver
Does it make the same sound when sitting on a level surface?I would say it's the incline because your tranny is holding your truck on your uphill driveway.. thats why u will hear a thud when releasing from 'park'. Blown 346
That sounds like U joints. Thats an easy fix. Depending on miles on it, it wouldnt be a bad idea to replace them. To check them Place the vehicle in gear and apply the parking brake. Raise the vehicle on a car lift or jack stands. Use a pry bar to gently pry the universal joint against the yoke of the drive shaft. While there may be some movement in the transaxle, there should be no acceptable and noticeable movement in the universal-joint-to-yoke connection. If there is, this is a physical and visible indication that the universal joint has gone bad.

cmoney23
It only does that noise when in my driveway cause its slanted pretty good. It doesnt do it at all on flat ground. So no worries anymore..
