feece08
Found this while cleaning today. I myself can't stand having dirty stuff like this in my SS, so for y'all that are like me here ya go. There's a small piece of like styrofoam that you can pull out a little bit and I'm almost positive its where all the leefs and dirt Goes that collects under the windshield wipers, then just falls down to here. I've never noticed it and have never seen anyone mention it before on here. I found at least a handful of mud and grime in there on each side. Hope the pictures are alright. kissfans03ss
Im pretty sure its there to prevent leaves and such from collecting at the base of your fender and rotting out both the fender and cab just like you thought. ccgoodwrench
When I bought my truck back in 05, I have a 03. I took off the cladding and found a bunch of dirt and road grime behind them. I'm thinking about removing them again, To me the cladding is a moisture trap, But I don't drive it in the rain or snow.
MARTYW
Guess I'm OCD when it comes to my truck too!
Fireman31
Vacuum that little pocket out everytime you vacuum your truck, and you shouldn't have any issues of stuff building up in there...I do that with both of my trucks....
