Drop And Caliper Repaint Complete

Recommended Posts

Just finished my latest projects this weekend. Hangers and shackles in the rear, spindles in the front, and repainted the calipers red. I'm still fine tuning the keys on the front to get it to sit right, but overall I am very pleased with it. Thanks to NORCALSS for all the support, the truck would probably still be on jack stands if it wasn't for you.

Looks great! What kind of caliper paint did you use?

Thank you. Well, when I repainted them the first time in black I used VHT caliper paint, but this time I went with the Duplicolor factory match Victory Red. Since my truck is red I didn't think it would look very good if the calipers were a different red. I have heard that the Duplicolor holds up just fine, I guess only time will tell. My way of thinking was that if this paint doesn't hold up, I will eventually just do a full rotor and caliper upgrade.

Is that a 3/4 drop... truck is looking clean

Thank you. I guess you could call it a 3/4. Technically, I suppose it's a 2/4, plus keys. I had keys put on it about 5 years ago, so in order to get the additional 2 inches lower in the front I was wanting I just went with 2" spindles. But then just hangers and shackles in the rear.
