Congrats on finding a great truck. First Chevy, huh? Well; You did get there, in the end, and that's good. Plenty of good info available, here. Don't expect huge gains in MPG. Heavy truck, fair size motor. Volante CAI, 160 degree thermostat, and Zippy tune has gained me about 2 MPG. Even where gas prices are now the payoff is a long way off. diggerdan11 Posted April 20, 2012 Report Share Posted April 20, 2012 Welcome yeah your not going to see a huge increse in MPGs with thes AWD trucks. Simple Bolt ons like a CAI, and and exhaust will be a good start, but you should look into a cutom tune. Check out Zippy, Wheatly or Black Bear, they will hook you up and should increase your milage a couple MPGs and wake up your truck quite a bit.
