Welcome to the site. Congrats on finding a great truck. First Chevy, huh? Well; You did get there, in the end, and that's good. pepsicheer.gif

Plenty of good info available, here.

Don't expect huge gains in MPG. Heavy truck, fair size motor.

Volante CAI, 160 degree thermostat, and Zippy tune has gained me about 2 MPG. Even where gas prices are now the payoff is a long way off. Coarse that's not why I started modding.

Welcome :pepsicheer:

yeah your not going to see a huge increse in MPGs with thes AWD trucks. Simple Bolt ons like a CAI, and and exhaust will be a good start, but you should look into a cutom tune. Check out Zippy, Wheatly or Black Bear, they will hook you up and should increase your milage a couple MPGs and wake up your truck quite a bit.

The pipes sound great! Can anyone tell me what that blue toggle switch is that is in the center console? Its right by the storage shelf..

Hmmm, the stock SS does not have any toggle switches on the center console. The previous owner must have added it. I wonder what its for?
