Cramer Posted May 5, 2012 Report Share Posted May 5, 2012 DBW throttle body is not needed on the LQ9. A cable driven style can be used. The original wiring harness is basically the same as are the sensor locations. The LQ9's are harder to find and more often than not they are more expensive than the LQ4. Unless you already have a LQ9 or can get a deal on one, i'd look for a LQ4. Just make sure it is a aluminum headed engine with the 317's. As for cost it all depends on what you find engine wise and if you are doing the work yourself or not. 39mill??? Another irrelevant post!
