SSilverBeast
Does anyone know a true answer to why GM never manufactuered a RCSB SS?? hah Or even a Crew Cab for that matter? haha Why choose (in my opinion, and no offense to all you SS owners) the not-so-attractive kind...Extended cab?!? ha Im building myself a rcsb clone and have been wondering this question for the longest time! lol ...just like im sure many of you have wondered as well hah Thanks guys! The_aSSet
Probably geared more toward utility than being "fast" or all out performance. Enough truck to actually be used as a truck but with some more balls to hold its own with the other performance trucks even though it hardly can stock. My guess anyways. I like my extended cab for what its worth. Edited May 2, 2012 by The_aSSet (see edit history)
Silverad0 SS
Understandable, these trucks were made for luxury more then speed
rickyrick562
Idk but if the ss would have been made a single cab I probably wouldn't have bought it. I actually need to be able to seat 5 every now and then Edited May 2, 2012 by xxssmaniacxx (see edit history)

I actually need to be able to seat 5 every now and then The SS was not really designed to be a true Sport Truck but a practical truck with enhanced performance and looks. Gm could have easily made a true Sport Truck with a RCSB 2WD with 500hp to compete with the SRT10 and Lightning, but they chose to go for practicality over performance. I would have never bought and SS if it was a RCSB especially if it was 2WD. I needed an AWD or 4x4 truck, and I wanted the SS because it had everything I wanted and needed; more power, good looks, Options, AWD. As for and an SS Crew Cab, I think when the SS was designed in 2001-02 for the 2003 model year Crew Cabs were not quite as popular as they are today
