MARTYW Posted June 7, 2012 Report Share Posted June 7, 2012 (edited) I just replaced my rear brakes at 86K. Front brakes still look like new. I am still running stock shocks. If the ride gets "bouncy" like the shocks are not rebounding, it is time to replace them, As far as brakes go, I usually wait till the pads get thin. I let my rears get too thin and my indicators "squealers" were making noise. That is how I knew I had an issue. Just for the record, my Avalanche had 35" tires and 112K on it and still had the original pads and rotors. I think it depends a lot on if you are hard on brakes or not. Apparently I am not. When you make an offer, tell them what you have and they should be able to get you the right stuff.
