SilverBulletSS
Is it safe to remove? I started to pull it out, but changed my mind and tucked it back in. Any idea what its there for?

Blown 346
Its purpose is to try and smother fire if one were to start. They are pointles and dont work. They are supposed to drop down and cover a fire. But fire needs oxygen and with all the rest of the open space under the hood that little insulator wont do anything. SilverBulletSS
Sorry I didn't get a chance to upload the pic yet. Its not the piece attatched to the underside of the Hood. Its just a ball of fiberglass tucked under the fuel rail on the drivers side. Ill try and upload thee pic now.

cadowns
No Sir, that should not be there. Any insulation should be on the removalable cover, not under the rail. CD
Blown 346
Looks like something was trying to make a nest. Any insulation under the hood is not that fluffy or even that color.

SilverBulletSS
Mice use fiberglass insulation. I pulled it out, it came out in one piece. Literally looked like a piece of home insulation was cut and tucked in there. I thought it was a mouse nest for sure, till I took it out. Then I got worried it was supposed to be there so I tucked it back in! Lol.
