feece08 Posted July 11, 2012 Report Share Posted July 11, 2012 (edited) I had this issue twice. But I knew what it was, when I didn't have adiquit fuel pressure at high rpm s my afr would go lean. So until I could afford a bigger fuel set up my tuner( slow hawk) put a governor on it pretty much. As soon as I would really get into the peddle it would do this, just as a precaution so I would blow my shit up.lol not sure what u have for a tune. But a possibility I guess....? powell Posted July 12, 2012 Report Share Posted July 12, 2012 This happened to my old 2001 Sierra with a 4.8. Turned out my cats were plugged up. Pull an O2 sensor and scope it. Mine did this intermittently until one day it was blocked off so bad that it just stayed in safe mode. I bought a new magnaflow y pipe with cats.
