lumbeepride Posted August 5, 2012 Report Share Posted August 5, 2012 Finally broke down and took it too the pros, did the test, orfice tube was clogged up, the replaced it with a brand new one, within 5 mins it was clogged up again, said it was metal shavings!? Wtf , ac won't blow cold sitting still , if I rev it to 1500 rpms it will start to and will normally stay cold, Wtf! Help please Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

lgowen343 Posted August 6, 2012 Report Share Posted August 6, 2012 I was in the automotive repair industry and then the hose business. Sounds to me just like SweetSS24 said. Compressor is coming apart. Pull it, put a new one in and recharge it before you need alot more parts like the reciever/dryer etc. Actually I'd replace those also. Blick05SS Posted August 7, 2012 Report Share Posted August 7, 2012 sure can and just an fyi when and if you do a compressor on the truck you will have to do the filter drier accumulator orfice tube if you want any kind of warranty on it many people dont know that.
