15SilveradoSS
most of the time when i get into my truck and fire it up, a buzzing noise sounds somewhere in my dash and it becomes more high pitched as i accelerate. i have an aftermarket eclipse deck with nav, does anyone have any idea why it makes a buzzing noise? tburkdoll
Is the buzzing coming through the speakers? The title is throwing me off
cb2big4u
Sounds like you have alternator whine due to a bad ground or a ground loop. Do you have an amp on the system? If so check both grounds on head unit and amp. Also could be cheap rcas if an amp is being used. Either through the speakers or through the unit itself. You need to check all your grounds on the system. 15SilveradoSS
it is just an aftermarket deck nothing else, the noise is not coiming from the speakers. somewhere inside the dash it seems to me
cb2big4u
If you are sure its the deck that is making the noise. Try grounding it somewhere else and not use the ground that comes in the harness (run a little wire and ground off to the chasis that's unpainted). Guess you can always try grounding it at the battery. Turn the truck on and test it before you put it back. If that doesn't work... My last car had a motor swap and they didn't connect all my grounds properly on the motor. Caused me to have bad alternator whine. This was through the speakers though. 15SilveradoSS
it does not make the noise all the time, and sometimes when it stops making the noise my speakers make a loud pop noise

Blown 346
Sounds like a grounding issue with the deck. Or it could possibly be the antenna.
NoLegs
Hard to tell from the video, but I've heard a similar noise coming from the little speaker directly above your head to the left. I don't even know what that speaker does...I've always assumed it had to do with OnStar or Phone intregration.
