Warden
Hi. My SS went into Reduced Engine Power mode the other day.I took it to a friend who did a diagnostic check. The trouble code was something to do with the throttle body and he cleared it.Sorry.I don't remember what the code was.The truck ran fine for a couple more days and it happened again today.I bought a cheap hand held code checker and again eraced the code.Does anyone know what is needed to stop this from happening again? Thanks
Fireman31
Do you remember the exact code that was thrown?
LSR Mike
Yes, you need to have the Throttle Body replaced eventually, or it will keep happening. there are 2 Throttle body position sensors, when they get out of sync (one dying) it throws the code and puts you in limp mode. chpspecial
REP is usually only due to a peddal/TB correlation issue... Most often its either a bad connection or a sticking TB blade... Has your TB been cleened recently if not this is a good time to do it... If wiring or cleaning doesn't fix the issue, you need to see what the failure is, and start checking parts, either the TB, TAC module, or peddle. chpspecial
I don't have efilive with me at the moment, but if memory serves me right, that should be a predicted air vs actual correlation issue. What are your mods. I can't see your sig with tapatalk
Warden
No mods other then a tune.I think it is throttle body related.I'm going to start with cleaning the TB and then check wiring. Thanks

chpspecial
If that is the case, clean the TB and check all your wiring and connectors
TXSZ66AVLANCHE
I had the same problem, replaced tb connector and problems continued, I finally replaced the wires from the tb all the way back to the tac module and the problem never came back again. TXSZ66AVLANCHE
EBay item 261114221630 is the best price I've found for the tb connector.
