Reduced Engine Power

Recommended Posts

Hi.

My SS went into Reduced Engine Power mode the other day.I took it to a friend who did a diagnostic check. The trouble code was something to do with the throttle body and he cleared it.Sorry.I don't remember what the code was.The truck ran fine for a couple more days and it happened again today.I bought a cheap hand held code checker and again eraced the code.Does anyone know what is needed to stop this from happening again?

Thanks

REP is usually only due to a peddal/TB correlation issue... Most often its either a bad connection or a sticking TB blade... Has your TB been cleened recently if not this is a good time to do it... If wiring or cleaning doesn't fix the issue, you need to see what the failure is, and start checking parts, either the TB, TAC module, or peddle.
