chpspecial
There can still be another lead wire under the fuse cover that isn't hooked up. If there isn't, then you are going to have to trace your power wire and see where its going.
Blown 346
Ok while doing some digging I found that GM doesn't hook up my trailer brake wiring harness which is why there is no power there. I'm not going thru all the trouble of hooking it up for a bed light.
SSchevySS
I checked mine___ With ignition off I have no power to any lead but when brakes are hit I get power to that lead only 12.43 volts___With ignition on I have power to all leads 13.79 volts !!! Had a friend put it in reverse, hit the brakes ect. I was thinking of doing the samething run a bed light from there !!! Guess I wont be doing that !!! Sorry yours is not working !!! Now I'm thinking running a wire from the cargo light switch back there shouldn't be to hard, I dont guess !!!

Blown 346
Got the trailer wiring to work and just used that for my bed light. The damn Ground wire had corroded, so I soldered in a new section and I have power back there.
