JC03SS
There better than stock. I had pacesetter shortys on my 96. I love my long tubes. I don't know what kida power they will actually make tho.
MARTYW
I have no personal experience, but from what several of the highly experienced members claim that shorties are a waste of time and money. No real results. My advice would be to save up for long tubes.
tburkdoll
Wait for long tubes... hold off and save for OBX LT headers (they're right about $500 give or take)
BLNAWAY
I dont really wana do LT due to the fact i just welded up some high flow cats. and i dont wana hassle with making a new Y-pipe
silverado777
OBX long tubes comes with a new "Y" pipe. IMO go long tube or nothing at all.
Muggs
You would get more power out of it with long tubes,

Muggs
Cool, you'll be happier in the long run with the LT's.
silverado777
The calspeed one sound like they will need to be modified a little. I do not believe OBX will need modification. If you do go with the Calspeed make sure you go with the 1 7/8 instead of the 1 3/4. Its only $50 and will be well worth it, especially if you want to do a cam or F/I later in the future. If so stay away from calspeeds, they do NOT fit if you're awd. Speaking from personal experience here
kelleyperformance
im with everybody else- its not worth the money, you wont see hardly any gains with shortys. go for some longtubes and a good tune. ive also never really heard of or used that company so im not sure as for the size- IF your planning on sticking with bolt-ons, mild cam, and staying under 500 RWHP use the 1 3/4" headers. you will loose low end torque if you run 1 7/8" on a stock/mild modified truck, ive seen it on the dyno before. the 1 3/4'' will get you just fine where you need to go unless your looking for some serious HP. the only NA LSx's we run 1 7/8" on is LS3/7 style head vehicles, they flow alot more air Edited February 1, 2013 by kelleyperformance (see edit history)
