Bob2003ss
I recently bought a 2003 chevy silverado ss. Everything was great the first week. I had it in for an oil change and they told me the front seal on the tcase was leaking. I didnt think to much about it cause my old tahoe leaked for years and never had an issue. When i got home today i put it in park and it started to make noise. A strange noise. I cant even explain the noise. When i put it in gear the noise goes away and everything is fine. When in park and i rev the motor the noise gets worse. Also the fluid leaking is very black. Amy ideas?

kcsilveradoss
tcase in park wont make noise, post a video of noise. it does sound like tcase needs service, however it is not creating your sound.
Akslowroller
Is your transmission going all the way into park. If it doesn't it will make a whining type of noise and it will increase with rpm. That's all I got. Lol. Good luck sir
BLOWN SS/T
That's why I went with RWD. Lol jk awd are awesome. But that case is notorious for wearing down. Look it up, it's a pretty common issue.
kelleyperformance
could be a loose or cracked flex plate, thats pretty common. also like said above you really need to fix that t-case, the SS cases are not cheap or easy to find... its not a big job, just take it down and open it, clean it really good and use some high temp silicone to put it back together. then fill with GM Autotrac II fluid (very important)
