Blown 346
$1000 for looks is insane, and a waste of money for about 20 hp.
chawkins6789
I am still torn between the TVS and a D1SC. The manifold would be nice with a D1SC. Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using Xparent Red Tapatalk
rdavid0412
If your set on a 90mm TB, you can always do the TBSS intake and TB swap. But even still it gets expensive quick, ask me how I know.
chawkins6789
I'll end up with a 90mm TB. Its whether it will be on a TVS or being fed by a D1SC. But I also like the look of the FAST manifold. Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using Xparent Red Tapatalk
Blown 346
Why not have a sheet metal intake made? The cost of the fast intake is similar, and would actually serve as more of a benefit with a blower... I vote D1SC
rdavid0412
My current setup is a P1SC with a TBSS intake and 90mm TB. I didnt expect the swap and stuff to be so expensive. But atleast I bought quality parts to hopefully save in the long run of things.
chawkins6789
I am in California so I need parts with an EO number Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using Xparent Red Tapatalk
rdavid0412
Your supercharger of choice will have your CARB exemption numbers. The hell with a D1, save yourself the hassle and get an F1!!!!!!!!!
chawkins6789
What is the big difference. I'm going to run a stock bottom end Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using Xparent Red Tapatalk
Blown 346
The differnece is the impeller, CFM the unit can put out and the power capabilities of it. The F1 is a monster. The Smaller units like the D1 have off the shelf brackets as the larger units like F1 etc most have to be custom made, along with the drive system of the blower. Instead of belts the power the F1 is capable of (over 1,500 HP) Cog drive is recommended. The D1 can still produce over 1,200 HP. My vette made 719 with a 12 PS1 and the blower is rated for 21 PSI until the power starts to fall off....
chawkins6789
I am going for about 550 RWHP
Aldofashow
Remember a lot of guys I've seen with blowers end up building a motor to pair up stock lower end will max out sooner or later
Blown 346
You can make 550 RWHP with a P1SC.... For the price of another $300 the D1 is the better deal. You have room to grow into it and still make the power you want, and more. Once you have the 550 you will want more, Its natural. lol. The stock bottom ends on the LS based engines can handle about 800HP or So before you have to start looking at forging.
