SSNCSU
Found a good deal on a lightly used Volant Powercore model 15453, for the 09-13 Silverado 1500. Our trucks (03-06 SS) take model 15153. Does anyone know if the one for newer trucks be easily modded to fit an SS, or is this a bad idea? Thx, SS Edited May 6, 2013 by SSNCSU (see edit history)

chawkins6789
I don't know of there is any difference. Without it my IAT's were higher than with the open K&N on the highway. Haven't measured since I added the scoop Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using Xparent Red Tapatalk

kelleyperformance
the box will actually fit, the problem lies with the intake tube. youd have to use an 09-up MAF from a new truck to make it work. its a credit card style MAF not a housing like our stockers. I actually have a Volant for a 09-12 Silverado in my JGP truck simply cause it was laying around lol. made my own air tube, doesn't fit like a glove (the box) but its within 10% id say. no one ever even notices its not for that truck it looks right at home
